My Story
Hello!! Thanks for stopping by! I am Shana Turney, wife, mother, basketball mom and your local Scentsy Dealer. We are a sports loving family and constantly on the run from one basketball gym to the next.
Most of you know my story but in case you don’t here is a little about my journey over the past 7 years. After gifting a Scentsy Buddy, Roosevelt the Rabbit, to a friend at work and seeing the sudden need of Scentsy products by co-workers; I decided to join. Truth be told, I was not an avid Scentsy user and only owned one warmer at the time. My reasoning for joining was strictly for the extra income possibilities I saw at that very moment. I did not ask for specifics about the company, didn’t ask about the compensation plan, I blindly signed up and so glad I did. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my 8-5 job after ten and a half years I felt stuck. I was as high as I could go for my particular position and felt something was missing. Then, opportunity knocked on my door. I had been a consultant for nearly 4 years when my husband said, “turn in your 2-week notice” My jaw hit the floor. I was scared and nervous to leave a full-time guaranteed set amount paycheck with amazing benefits to sling wax full time. Is this even real life?
Over the course of the first year of being an 8-5 drop out my team and I promoted to the 2nd highest Rank of the Company and I have grown so much as a person and my outlook on life itself is the most optimistic it has ever been. I now thrive on personal development and to be the inspiration that may be missing in someone’s life. My sole purpose as a Scentsy Star Director is to serve my team, guide them, and help them fulfill their own dreams and ambitions. (Scentsy related but also life itself). It makes me happy. My soul is set on fire and I am so blessed to be able to help others achieve their goals and carry out dreams of their own. You see we don't just push products. We provide memories that will last a lifetime through the fragrances that we share.
I joined Scentsy in August of 2014 and never did I imagine my life as it is now. But, thank you Scentsy for making my dreams come true and allowing me the freedom to live life by my own design and help others do the same by simply sharing a product and company I am so head over heels for.
Before I Joined in I was not a traveler- domestic or internationally. Again, never in my wildest dreams did I think this little wax biz of mine would open up a new love language I never knew existed. I can officially say because of Scentsy with hard work, determination, and a team that never quits I am now a seasoned World Traveler.

2016 Earned the Disney incentive for 1 but opted for SFR in Nashville
2017 Earned Punta Cana for 2

2018 Meridian, ID for Director Boot Camp
2018 Earned the Mediterranean Cruise for me and hubs (Set sail from Barcelona thru Spain, Italy & France)
2018 SFR in Anaheim
2018 Northern California (Lake Tahoe) for a leadership retreat
2019 Earned Marco Island, FL for me and the hubs
2019 SFR in Austin
2019 Earned the Slingshot Top 50 trip to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for 2
2020 Leadership Retreat in Hawaii
2020 Earned cruise from NYC to Bermuda for 2 (unable to attend due to COVID-19 but they gave us a $4,800 buyout payment)
2020 SFR Salt Lake City, UT (attended Virtually from a beach house in FL also due to COVID-19)
2021 Earned Disney World Family Incentive but opted for the generous $6,200 payout from Scentsy – we used the $$ to extend our basketball adventures with my son and took a family trip to Branson
2021 SFR Virtual (attended virtually from a beach house in FL again)
Currently working for the 2022 Alaskan Cruise to be taken in the Summer of 2022.

I am now a Certified Coach and have successfully completed several leadership programs within the company.
I have been chosen to present on a few different topics at our corporate events for weekly training event for the past 3 years! Training, mentoring, and coaching is one of my favorite things about this business. Helping people RISE and knowing you played a role in that is amazing!
I share those things not to gloat but to show you that if I CAN DO IT!!!! YOU CAN TO! It is so EASY to promote a product you love, but making it a business can be hard. Unless you have the right people around you to be inspired by and learn and grow from. Its important that you choose a sponsor who will be able to show you the way.
